Halloween with G Man!

Yes, it's true!

so, our good looking baby g has now past the 6 month mark!

super crazy to think it's been that long that i was on my way to the hospital

to welcome the little man into this world.
he had his check-up, complete with too many shots to remember :( and was a champ, as usual. he was not cooperative with the whole look at the camera idea and was enthralled with a strange man holding him and his strange device around his neck.
much more exciting!

The Stats:
Height- 26"
Weight- 14lbs. 6.5 oz.
Head Circumference (who knew they measured this?)- 16 1/2 in.

Conclusion? He is one happy, healthy little squirt. While his measurements are still on the charts, they are on the low end of things. so i didn't get my chunky monkey baby, but my arm is not complaining.:)

Ghouls just wanna' have fun!

I'm usually not one for decorating for Halloween, simply because I have been turned off a long time ago to the skulls, scary witches and gruesome body parts lying around. So, I don't know what has gotten into me this year, but I have been having way too much fun decorating for Halloween. Perhaps it's the new mom in me, trying to live up to my duties:) or the fact that I am decorating my house, and not someone's rental? I don't know...but here's a look at some of the results:)

i found these ikea mirrors that were not in use, cut up a dollar store napkin and voila!

i love the way orange and black are such a good looking team together.

i have re-discovered a great passion of mine. there is something so very exhilarating, simple, awakening, pure and overall happiness once i have created something.

anything. here are a few examples:

take for instance this mess of shoes that was the result of finding a very large (according to my frightened eyes) jumping cricket in my shoe basket.

once the fight had been won (25 points awarded to bee), my heart-rate checked and the measly creature disposed of...i stepped back to discover and laugh at imagining watching myself prance around like a sissy trying to smash a set of jumping legs, using a new shoe with each miss.

i love creating a memory :)

anyone who knows my cooking style, knows that in order for me to feel a sense of deep and utter satisfaction in my accomplishment, i have to

a- not follow a recipe and/or

b- change/add something to a recipe.

hence, this lovely little caramel, apple, vanilla wafer crisp!

i love re-creating warm, sweet deliciousness!

i was able to host a bridal shower for a dear friend of mine.
i realized that i had been to many baby showers, but not bridal showers for years and was hesitant on what to do and how it would turn out.

recently i was in charge of a combined ym/yw mutual activity, which was already decided to be a talent show.
well, what do you do when not one person signs up!?

while i love the simplicity and cleanliness of white on white, i felt my shower curtain needed a little something more.

Endless Possibilities in PJs and Mud Masks

We are finally connected!

After 6 years we've joined the throng of adding a monthly bill for internet service. Talk about great timing! We were finally able to watch General Conference from the comfort of our home, while remaining in our pajamas ;)

Life is good!
