time spender

i am a stay at home mother. wonderful! so, what do i do with ALL :) my 'free time'?
let baby g watch me make lovelies of course.
he doesn't seem to mind- for now.

pretty little burp cloths for a friend's new bambino. hooray for little girls!

this sewing table and chair are a wonderful little story about a girl, me, who yearned for somewhere to put her new sewing machine, but did not want to pay a lot of mula for this said table. so this girl constructed an email and sent it to about 20 craigslistings and one seller had pity and gave the very happy girl this lovely set for free! love a good deal! makes me, the girl, so very happy! :)

a little inspiration...

and voila! it's amazing what a can of paint and some new fabric can do, eh?

matching paper crafting corner (don't mind the mess).

now this lovely story begins with a yard sale where two lovebirds went a hunting and came upon some sellers ready to be rid of all their 'junk'. so they gathered a whole lot of goods for the price tag of $1! another sa-weet deal!

moral of this story?
take the free table cloth and turn it into 6 dish towels. hooray!

and some little pretties for a dear mother's birthday present.

i told j-mann that my new dream job, there is a list, would be to make pretty packages.
it makes me simply giddy imagining the receivers face.

so, go ahead- DO SOMETHING!

9 month eating machine!

enjoy it while you can- they grow up so fast!
these are the words we are continually hearing from others with grown children and day by day we are seeing them come to pass. i can hardly believe our baby g has passed the 9 month mark! soon we will have to call him little man g. :)

he was excited to be taking some photos...
but that only lasted long enough to snap these two shots.

what baby g is up to:
* scooting all over the place, with an occasional rocking on all fours
* waving
* babbling all day long:
dada
mama
gaga
th
gong gong
nana
* loves playing peek a boo
*loves singing & dancing with mama
* loves reading and inspecting books
*loves interacting with other children
* still toothless
* still adorable
* still friendly & flirty! (watch out us) :)
* still giggly
*still loved!
and
* eating more and more! thus far he has tried:
sweet potatoes
carrots
green peas
peaches
green beans
apples
blueberries
pumpkin
pears
mangoes
chicken
red potatoes
garlic
cottage cheese
crackers
bananas
avocados
orange popsicle
grape jelly...

oh and the occasional whipped cream treat! i think i am driving the protective parent, aka mr. j-mann, crazy with wanting to give g everything! with that said, i do have some parenting self control, so no worries!:)

i love to watch little ones feed themselves. this is g's first time eating finger foods and we got a kick of watching his little pointer finger and thumb carefully sneak up on the puffed rice snack and then trying to skillfully aim it into his mouth. he did really well- considering and often would go at it with his entire fist full. so cute!

are we first time parents or what?!
is everything this exciting the second time around??

Bedtime Giggles...

Dear baby G-
yesterday you had a case of the giggles minutes before falling asleep for your nap. what a delightful, contagious little laugh you have.

i know everyone that sees you says that you "look just like your daddy", but i am glad you got a little something from me too!:)
nothing better than getting all excited to fall asleep!:)

love,
mama bee
