My Valentine

We had a great Valentine's day this year. We took the laid back route and decided to stay in instead of fighting the crowds. Bee made a spectacularly wonderful dinner and then we watched a movie and cuddled. Bee made me a nice Valentine's Day card and I presented her with these pictures...

Which look like this...
We hope your day was as special as ours!

The Best Birthday Ever!!

Thanks everyone for the best birthday ever!
Bee surprised me with a fancy dinner at a Brazilian restaurant which is all about the meat!

She also surprised me with a steady flow of gifts collected from around the country (aka purchased online and/or mailed to us from family). Thanks everyone for the great gifts!

Every year, the only thing I ask for on my birthday is a chocolate cake. This year, Bee gave me the best homemade chocolate cake I think I've ever had! It was delicious!!! Thanks for the recipe Miss Kim!

However, the big present this year was my Lasik surgery! I had the surgery the day after my birthday and am loving the results. I posted some videos of the experience.

The only drawback is that I have to wear these blasted goggles at night for the next week. I don't necessarily care how ridiculous they make me look, but it's so annoying when you're trying to sleep.

Thanks for taking care of me Bee!
And thanks for a fantastic Birthday!
I love you!

Who Am I?

So on Sunday, I was told by one of our hearing impaired sisters that I looked like a dentist. This might have sounded like an odd comment, but since most of our ward is full of dental students, I thought she just had me confused with someone else. I told her thanks and then, she said I looked like Mr. Rogers!

So....what do you think? Do I look like...

a dentist?

OR

Mr. Rogers?
OR

since we're at it, I've also been told that I remind people of a cartoon character.
So any votes for a cartoon character? If so, which one?

Who Loves Chocolate??

Ok, so Bee and I made a bet with some friends that we would go without any sugar for an entire month. The last day without sugar was February 1st and...we made it!! So, how do you celebrate living an entire month without any sweets?

Go to the annual Chocolate Lovers Festival in Fairfax, VA !!!!
There was a judging section, where you could vote on home made chocolate creations!

This was supposed to just be a picture.

There was plenty to do, see, and taste! The hot spot is the "Taste of Chocolate" located in the City Hall building. You buy pogs, then use your pogs to buy any and all of the chocolate goodies your chocolate heart can handle. A glimpse of the chocolate chaos.

This local Fudge shop sells Fudge Puppies, which are Belgian waffles dipped in fudge!

The line to get into the "Taste of Chocolate" reached down the block! But was well worth the wait.
