We had another family fun Saturday! Complete with a trip to the local Farmer's Market, where Ellory talked her way down to paying 75 cents for a pink sprinkled sugar cookie, drawing time with Ellory not too excited about sharing her seat with Rockwell, Dad grilling up some yummy lunch, and discovering special deliveries of watermelon cupcakes from Liz and Thomas Upton.

Ellory sidekick
Ellory is my little shadow and biggest helper lately. I love this phase!:)
When we returned home one night ready to jump in the bath, we noticed Liz and Thomas had left us some yummy watermelon cupcakes! The boys were already upstairs, but we enjoyed some front porch cupcake eating!:)
Riding along at the Farmer's Market where Ellory received a discounted rate of 75 cents and was able to purchase a sugar cookie with pink sprinkles with her own hard earned money!
Lunch time dates together while Grant is away at Summer Blast camp and Rockwell is sleeping.
We discovered quickly that the cupcakes were best eaten with a fork!
I offered to go to a Dr. appointment with Jennifer and Ellory wanted to come along for the long ride. We packed her cheetah backpack full of snacks and books and she waited patiently while Jennifer was being seen by Dr and then again while she ended up being admitted into hospital for her c-section incision being infected.
she really is the easiest sidekick!
and on the way to get our grant man, little side kick was plum tuckered out. her naps are still hit and miss, but she was worn out from all the running around.
We were on stand-by for when Annie went into labor and after spending the night and all day with miles, ellory came with while he was napping. She played quietly with the blocks and read all the fun, new books until he woke up and they had crazy fun together!
Our sweet neighbors, the smiths, brought over a couple bags of hand me down clothes for ellory and she loved trying on everything!
eagerly helping me make mac n cheese!
helping comfort hamilton and reminding rockwell to be gentle.
showing rockwell the best climbing techniques. we sure breed monkeys around here.

Eclectic date night
Date nights are a wonderful thing when they happen! This one was made possible by some yummy trader joes delights and chrissy staying with our sleeping crew:)

Baby sister
Grant man was my sidekick for the 28 week glucose test and ultrasound with the specialist. We have been monitoring baby sister's right kidney to see if it is still carrying extra fluid or if it is repairing itself and draining properly. Today the long wait was worth it when the specialist looked at her on the ultrasound and declared her beautiful and everything normal. Prayer and God's love are amazing. So grateful for this big brother and his enthusiasm and for healthy, growing baby sister!
Childrens museum
The kids and I braved the 104 degree weather to enjoy some fun at the downtown childrens museum. After exploring around inside, we ended at the splash pad where I melted and the kids ran around some more! :)

Cow appreciation day and DC temple trip
We love Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A and delicious food for free! :) This year we decided to top it off with a mid-week Temple Trip! One of the perks of Joshua not working right now! We packed our cow costumes and stopped for breakfast on the way to DC.
Rockwell loved being with the group and facing forward for the first time!
Joshua took the kids to the awesome recently renovated visitors center, while Bee went in the temple to perform some initiatories.
Then while Joshua was performing some temple work, Bee had a picnic with the kiddos behind the temple.
Then to end our day, we pulled into Short Pump and went through the drive thru for some more chicken dinner!
After the temple, we were also able to stop by and see Charisse and crew. Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures:( but we were glad to have a quick visit and play around with them!
