Immediate parenthood can definitely be challenging, but when the children are a pack of wild teenagers, it takes some creative juices to keep things fun, safe, and...interesting.
So, the majority of our lives for the past 3 years has been having fun with the youth in our area. Here are some pics of what we've done so far this year...
We played this crazy balloon dance game, where you tie a balloon to your ankle and try to stomp on everyone else's balloon while protecting yours from getting popped.
Last Saturday, we spent about 8 hours with the youth during our trip to the Washington, D.C. Temple. For several, this was their first trip to the temple. Afterwards, we loaded them up on sugar and chili dogs, then packed them in the cars for the 2+ hour drive home....risky, but it provides some incentive to get home quickly.
And the girls do what girls do best. They got together to eat some grub (PJs required) and took turns reading the New Era.
And this was just in the first month! We can't wait to see what fun times come our way in '09!
